Sausage Spaghetti Bolognese

Sausage Spaghetti Bolognese is one of my favorite meals. It is quick healthy and delicious. See the recipe below:

  • 1 medium Zucchini
  • 6oz Spaghetti
  • 15 oz Crushed Tomatoes
  • Italian Spices
  • 9 oz Sausage
  • 2 tbsp Chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Sour Cream
  • 4 tbsp Parmesan Cheese

Zucchini

Begin by washing your zucchini and cutting it once lengthwise and then several times the width wise. You should have many half moons staring back at you. Drizzle some oil on a pan toss the zucchini onto it. Add a bit of salt and pepper. Toss that baking pan into the oven on broil for 4-6 minutes or until golden brown.

Sausage and Spaghetti

Next, grab a frying pan and drizzle some oil onto it and toss your sausage into the pan to brown. Add the italian spices and chop into small pieces. Meanwhile grab a medium size pot and fill halfway with water. Place the pot on the stove with dial on high to boil. Once the boiling ensues add the spaghetti and leave in there for 9-11 minutes or to your desired softness but do add salt here and several shakes. This will ensure the taste mingles with the rest of the dish.

Putting it all together

Food, Food, Food Sausage Spaghetti Bolognese

Drain any excess grease from the sausage and add the tomatoes, the chicken stock, salt and pepper. Simmer for 5-8 minutes. Take Stir in the sour cream and 1 Tbsp of butter in the pan until melted and mixed. Add the zucchini. Drain the Spaghetti. Design some swirls of spaghetti on two plates. Pour some of the sausage mixture and zucchini over the top. Sprinkle parmesan for good looks. Enjoy!

Wine

I am positive that a fine wine could be paired with this dish that would make the tomatoes pop and burst in your mouth with flavor. Unfortunately, I am not experienced enough to have tried them all to be able to decide which to use. The Nile Eddy would alright but I am thinking a merlot would be better. I take feedback.
